Fuel Cell Seminar Schedule of Events

Tuesday, November 7

1:00 PM H2@Scale Working Session - Hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy

H2@ Scale is a concept that explores the potential for wide-scale hydrogen production and utilization in the United States to enable resiliency of the power generation and transmission sectors, while also aligning diverse multibillion dollar domestic industries, domestic competitiveness, and job creation.   This session will:

  • Provide an overview of activities and collaborations under the U.S. DOE H2@Scale initiative, including selections from 2017 H2@Scale CRADA Call and the H2@Scale national laboratory consortium.

  • Identify opportunities to align hydrogen technologies with evolution in power generation and transmission.

  • Assess hydrogen infrastructure needs to cost effectively match growth of diverse industries.

On Thursday, November 9, from 6 pm until 8 pm, the Fuel Cell Seminar & Energy Exposition will hold a Gala Banquet at the Federal Bar, a unique and upscale gastropub, located at 102 Pine Avenue, just a short walk from the Long Beach Convention Center and Renaissance Hotel.  

This historic landmark was built in 1924 as the Long Beach headquarters for the Security Trust and Savings Bank of Los Angeles, later becoming the Security Pacific National Bank building.  


The Electrochemical Society (ECS) will publish an issue of its ECS Transactions (ECST) of full conference papers from the 2017 Fuel Cell Seminar for interested presenters.
