About Southwest Research Institute
Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is one of the oldest and largest independent, nonprofit, applied research and development organizations in the United States. Founded in 1947, SwRI provides contract research and development services to industrial and government clients in the United States and abroad. It has more than 3,000 employees and 11 technical divisions. In San Antonio, SwRI occupies more than 1,200 acres and almost 2 million square feet of office and laboratory space.
Tour Details
The tour will make a stop at the emissions research facility for vehicles such as hybrids, hydrogen and fuel cell vehicles, as well as the Hydrogen Storage Laboratory.
**Note** All tour attendees must have their identification on them as the bus will be undergoing a security inspection at the main gate.
Tour Schedule
Wednesday, October 17, 2007
Bus Departure: 2:00 p.m.
Site Tour: 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Bus Return: 5:00 p.m.
Transportation has been pre-arranged. The bus will leave promptly at 2:00 p.m. from the lobby of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, and will return at approximately 5:00 p.m.
Registration
Registration for this event is FREE, however space is limited so advance registration is required. Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Advanced registration must be received by Tuesday, October 9, 2007.*
*Onsite registration after Tuesday, October 9, 2007 will available until 12 Noon, Tuesday, October 16, 2007. Forms will be available at the Registration Desk.
